Permanent Nurse Practitioner – Neonatology
Position Type: Permanent
Specialty: Physician - Neonatology
Location: North Carolina
Rate: Permanent Placement Fee $14K
Shift: 24-hour shifts (in-house rounds + home call)
- Patient Population: Newborn / Nursery
- Setting: Level I Nursery (LDRP)
- Responsibilities: Daily newborn rounds, attend deliveries as requested, stabilize and manage newborns, facilitate transport to higher level NICUs, provide in-house coverage during day and take call from home
- Required Procedures: Newborn stabilization and management
- EMR System:
- Support Staff: Team of 4 NNPs with support from Level III NICU neonatologists and NNPs at nearby facility
- Days Per Month: Full-time schedule
- On-Call/Weekends: Daily rounds in-house with home call coverage
Submission Requirements:
- Master’s Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing
- Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP only)
- North Carolina license (or willing to obtain)
- NPDB self-query within 30 days
- Current 2+ years NNP experience (not including RN)
- DEA prior to start
- Not accepting new graduates
- Not accepting Locums candidates
