An established and reputable Neonatal practice in West Texas is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or a newly graduating NNP fellow to join a collaborative, high-quality neonatology team. This is a fantastic opportunity to practice in a 49-bed Level III NICU within a major regional perinatal center serving the Permian Basin and West Texas.

Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive neonatal care to infants in a 49-bed Level III NICU, including premature and critically ill newborns

Perform admissions, daily rounds, discharges, and ongoing patient management in collaboration with Neonatologists

Conduct and assist with neonatal procedures such as intubation, central line placement, lumbar punctures, and resuscitation (based on experience and training)

Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for neonatal patients

Communicate effectively with families, providing education, updates, and compassionate support

Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to

Qualifications

Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) program

Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) or eligible for certification

Active or eligible Texas APRN license

New graduate NNP fellows with appropriate training and credentials are welcome to apply

Previous experience in a Level II or Level III NICU preferred (not required for new grads)

Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and procedural skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced critical care environment

Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality neonatal care
