Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide advanced clinical care within a NICU
- Manage NICU and newborn average daily census of 20, with approximately 1,700 annual deliveries
- Oversee newborn admissions, with a 95 percent admit rate
- Administer advanced therapies including high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), high-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV), inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia
- Support pediatric surgical procedures (excluding cardiac surgery except PDA ligations; no ECMO)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation and adherence to all clinical protocols
Additional Information
- Current APRN national specialty certification required
- Active Virginia license required
- Minimum of a master's degree required
- At least six months of recent clinical experience in neonatology required
- Must have been clinically active within the past year
- Completion of prescreen questionnaire and CV in MM/YYYY format (with all gaps explained) required
- Required board certification: Neonatology
