Job description
An established and reputable Neonatal practice in West Texas is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or a newly graduating NNP fellow to join a collaborative, high-quality neonatology team. This is a fantastic opportunity to practice in a 49-bed Level III NICU within a major regional perinatal center serving the Permian Basin and West Texas.

Job Responsibilities
• Perform neonatal assessments, develop care plans, and manage daily clinical care
• Attend high-risk deliveries and assist with resuscitation and stabilization
• Interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostics to guide treatment
• Perform procedures such as intubation, line placement, and ventilation management
• Collaborate with Neonatologists, nurses, and the NICU care team
• Educate and support families throughout the care process
• Document all care accurately in the EMR
• Follow NICU protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing with Neonatal focus
• Eligible for Texas APRN licensure and prescriptive authority
• New graduate NNP fellows and experienced NNPs encouraged to apply
• Current NRP and BLS/ACLS certifications
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and neonatal procedural skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced NICU environment
• Excellent communication skills and compassion for newborns and families
