A leading hospital in Denver, CO is seeking experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to provide comprehensive neonatal care in both Level II and Level III NICU settings. This is a per diem opportunity offering flexible scheduling with options for 12-hour or 24-hour shifts. The role includes attending high-risk deliveries, managing newborns, and providing support to in-house NNP coverage.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide advanced neonatal care for high-risk and critically ill newborns in Level II and Level III NICUs.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and perform initial assessments and stabilization.
• Round on well-newborns and provide specialized care as needed.
• Collaborate closely with Neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support and provide downtime coverage to 24-hour NNP shifts.
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner – Required.
• Active Colorado License or IMLC Eligibility – Required.
• Current APRN national specialty certification – Required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing – Required.
• Minimum 6 months of clinical experience in Neonatology.
• Must have been clinically active within the past year.
• Availability beginning Late Spring/Early Summer and ongoing.
• CV in MM/YYYY format with no unexplained gaps.

Working Hours

• Varied scheduling options available.
• 24-hour in-house NICU shift or 12-hour shift (7a–7p) for NBN/Delivery role.
• No on-call requirement.
• Weekend coverage as needed.

Skills

• Expertise in neonatal resuscitation, stabilization, and critical care.
• Strong procedural competency (intubation, line placement, ventilator management).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform independently in fast-paced, high-acuity environments.
