Nurse Practitioner-Neonatology Opportunities in Oregon!

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a locum Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide coverage for a facility in far eastern Oregon starting as soon as credentialed. The NP will provide care in a Level II NICU setting, including admissions, rounding, and attending high-risk deliveries. This position is ideal for experienced neonatal providers with flexible availability who can work in 4–5 day stints and cover 24-hour call shifts.

Dates / Schedule

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed (emergency privileges available)

• Dates of Coverage:

  • October 23

  • November 13

  • November 22 (0800) – November 24 (0800)

  • November 26 (0800) – November 28

  • December 25

  • December 31 – Ongoing into 2026

• Schedule: 24-hour call with rounding; flexibility preferred

• Credentialing Timeframe: ~90 days

• EMR: EPIC

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Setting: Level II NICU

• Key Duties:

  • Admits for Level II NICU

  • Rounding and discharges

  • Attend and manage high-risk deliveries

  • Perform intubations and place UVC lines

• Call Structure: 24-hour call with 6 hours included for rounding

• Supervision: Independent practice expected within scope of NICU care

• Documentation: EPIC EMR

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Certification:

  • NCC (Neonatal Certification) – Required

  • Board Certified NP – Required

• Licensure: Active Oregon license – Required

• Experience: Prior NICU/Level II neonatal care experience required

• Credentialing Documentation Needed:

  • MD diploma, training certificates, licenses, DEA

  • Life support (BLS), immunization records, CMEs, references, case logs

  • Certificates of insurance, headshot, driver’s license
