🍼 Opportunity Snapshot:

• Position: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or NICU-experienced Physician Assistant

• Location: Syracuse, NY

• Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts (Days or Nights)

  • 7-on/7-off model

  • Long-term coverage

🏥 Facility Details:

• Unit: 16-bed Level III NICU

• Average Census: 8–9 patients

• Admissions/Shift: 0–2

• Support:

  • 3 full-time Neonatologists (on-site during day, on-call overnight)

  • 6 full-time NICU mid-levels + 1 per diem

• Coverage Includes:

  • NICU + well-baby nursery (nights only)

  • C-section attendance

  • Supervision of RNs and ancillary NICU staff

• Transport: No neonatal transport required

  • Level IV referral center 5 minutes away handles all transfers

🧠 Skills & Procedures Required:

• Nursery Level III NICU care

• Ventilation management (Invasive & Non-Invasive)

• Chest tube insertion

• UAC/UVC placement

• Lumbar punctures

• Exchange transfusions

• Central/arterial line insertion

• Diagnostic and therapeutic taps

• BP/volume management
