  • An exciting permanent opportunity for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join a leading multi-specialty medical group in Michigan.
  • The NNP will provide comprehensive neonatal care in the NICU, attend high-risk deliveries, and support newborn stabilization and transport under the supervision of attending pediatricians.

Job Responsibilities

Function as the primary mid-level provider for newborn patients under pediatric supervision
Assess, plan, evaluate, and document neonatal medical care
Order/interpret labs, x-rays, and prescribe treatments including IV therapy and medications
Attend high-risk deliveries, perform resuscitation, and stabilize newborns
Conduct independent neonatal transports between hospital systems
Participate in staff education, competency assessments, and quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and serve as a consultant to medical and nursing staff
Submit billing in a timely manner and uphold confidentiality and safety standards

Qualifications

Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (by start date) – Required
Successful completion of an accredited NNP program – Required
Active Michigan license – Required
Minimum 2 years of NICU experience – Required
BLS and NRP certifications – Required
Strong interpersonal, clinical, and analytical skills – Required

Working Hours

Day shifts with potential weekend and on-call coverage for high-risk deliveries, resuscitations, and transports (specific hours vary)

Advanced neonatal assessment and resuscitation skills
Proficiency in NICU procedures and neonatal stabilization

Ability to function independently in critical care and transport situations
