Job Description
A regional health system in Ontario, Oregon is seeking a Locum Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to provide ongoing coverage in a Level II NICU. The ideal provider will be available for 4–5 day stints at a minimum and comfortable working independently while collaborating with neonatologists and NICU staff.
The role involves 24-hour call and rounding with responsibilities including admissions, discharges, attending high-risk deliveries, and performing essential NICU procedures. Providers will join a supportive clinical team and have the opportunity for extended assignments.
Key Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour NICU coverage, including call and rounding

Manage Level II NICU admissions and discharges

Attend high-risk deliveries

Perform neonatal procedures (intubation, UVC placement, central lines, etc.)

Supervise and support NICU RNs and ancillary staff

Collaborate with neonatologists during the day, with 24-hour on-call backup available
Qualifications

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner – Required

NCC Certified – Required

Active Oregon license – Required

BLS – Required
-
Prior NICU/Neonatology experience with ability to work independently – Required
Compensation & Travel
