seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join a nationally respected, high-acuity Level III NICU team. The unit features 72 beds with an average daily census of 60, advanced technologies (ECMO, HFJV/HFOV, nitric oxide, whole-body cooling), and strong support from 13 neonatologists, 12 APPs, and comprehensive pediatric subspecialists.
Job Responsibilities
Manage ELBW infants and other critically ill neonates using advanced neonatal technologies.
Participate in neonatal resuscitation and transport teams.
Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, and interdisciplinary NICU staff.
Utilize interventions such as ECMO, nitric oxide, jet and oscillatory ventilation, and whole-body cooling.
Provide comprehensive inpatient neonatal care, including admissions, assessments, procedures, and follow-up care.
Qualifications
Active Nevada license (or ability to obtain) – Required
DEA & CSR/CDS – Must be obtained prior to start
Clean malpractice and license history – Highly Preferred
U.S. work authorization – No visa sponsorship (J1/H1B not accepted)
Working Hours
Includes weekends as part of 24/7 NICU coverage
On-call participation for neonatal resuscitation and transport
Skills
Skilled in high-frequency ventilation, ECMO, iNO, and therapeutic cooling
Strong clinical judgment in high-acuity neonatal settings
Team collaboration with physicians, NNPs, and NICU nurses
Effective communication with families and interdisciplinary teams
