We are seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for a 5-day locum tenens assignment in Connecticut. This opportunity begins on Sep 10, 2025, and involves handling a range of neonatal conditions in a NICU setting. Responsibilities and Duties
- Attend vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Initial stabilization and resuscitation of newborns
- Manage cases including prematurity-related complications, respiratory conditions, neonatal infections, cardiac conditions, neurologic concerns, and gastrointestinal issues
- Perform airway and respiratory management such as intubations, mechanical ventilation, and CPAP/NIPPV management
- Conduct vascular & access procedures, including umbilical line placement and peripheral IV placement
- Manage emergent situations in the delivery room
- Therapeutic hypothermia initiation and management
Additional Information
- Required Board Certifications: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP); Neonatology
- EMR System Usage: Epic
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Must hold a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required
