A top-tier Level III NICU is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) for weekend locum tenens coverage, offering competitive pay, paid travel & lodging, and full malpractice coverage.

🗓 Assignment Details:

• Start Date: Mid-August 2025

• Schedule: 12- and/or 24-hour weekend shifts

• Shift Focus: NICU (Level III) + Well-Baby nursery (nights only)

• Unit Size: 16-bed NICU

• Avg. Admissions: 0–2 per shift

• Avg. Census: 8–9 patients

• EMR: EPIC

🩺 Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a Level III NICU

• Attend C-sections and deliveries

• Manage ventilation (ETT, CPAP, BiPAP), chest tubes, UVC/UAC, LPs, taps

• Supervise RNs and support staff (no NNP oversight)

• Collaborate with on-site neonatologists (daytime) and 24/7 call support

• No transport responsibilities – transfers managed by nearby Level IV NICU

💰 Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay Rate: $140/hour

• Malpractice coverage included

✅ Requirements:

• Board-Certified NNP

• Active NY license

• Must be confident in independent NICU patient management

• Must be able to perform core NICU procedures

• Comfortable with both NICU and Well-Baby coverage
