Job Opportunity: NP/PA in Neonatology
Join a dynamic healthcare team in Syracuse, NY at a Level III NICU facility, known for its commitment to delivering high-quality care. We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum tenens coverage in response to staff leave of absence. This position offers the chance to work alongside experienced neonatologists and skilled pediatric staff, ensuring optimal patient care within a supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to neonates within a Level III NICU.
- Manage ventilation and acute volume/blood pressure issues.
- Perform necessary procedures including chest tube insertion and central line placement.
- Attend C-sections and cover the Level I (Well-Baby) nursery as needed.
- Supervisor duties for RNs and ancillary staff in the NICU.
- Utilize the EPIC documentation system for patient records.
- Collaborate with a team of 3 neonatologists and 6 pediatric mid-levels.
- Ensure safety and quality in patient assessment and management.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Neonatology or experienced NICU PA - REQUIRED
- Active New York license - REQUIRED
- Ability to manage patients independently - REQUIRED
- Comfortable with a conversion rate cap of 20k - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current New York State license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Board Certification in Neonatology or relevant specialty.
