Job Opportunity: Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
Join a dynamic team at a state-of-the-art facility located in Fort Myers, Florida. This role involves working in a 70-bed, Level-III NICU at Golisano Children's Hospital, which is renowned for its commitment to a family-centered approach and developmentally sensitive care. With an annual delivery rate of 7,000 and the support of a comprehensive health system, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a robust, quality-focused environment that promotes lifelong learning and offers clinical research opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide attending coverage at the Level-III NICU.
- Manage high-risk delivery service coverage and in-house call, ensuring 24-hour NNP coverage.
- Deliver well baby care and back-up coverage from home for Level-I coverage.
- Collaborate effectively with a diverse team of 10 neonatologists and 10 NNPs.
- Engage in robust quality improvement programs.
- Participate in clinical research opportunities as desired.
- Work 12-hour shifts, with the option for 24-hour shifts based on experience.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- NNP Board Certification is required (no FNP, PNP, or other NP certifications accepted).
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an NNP.
- Active Florida license (or willingness to obtain).
- Must require visa support (J1 or H1B).
- DEA registration (must be obtained prior to start).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Master's Degree (minimum) in Nursing.
- NNP - Board Certified.
- Active Florida Nursing License.
- DEA (must be obtained before starting).
