We are seeking a Locum Tenens NP - Neonatology in New York.
Locum Tenens NP - Neonatology
Position Type: Locum Tenens
Specialty: Neonatology
Location: New York
Rate: $69/hr - $71/hr
Shift: 12 and 24-hour shifts
Start Date: May 28, 2025
End Date: TBD
Position Details:
- Practice Setting: NICU Level III
- Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage for a 16-bed NICU unit
- Attend C-sections and cover the Level I (Well-Baby) Nursery
- Supervise RNs in the NICU and ancillary staff as needed
- Manage 8-9 patients per day
- Perform neonatal procedures including ventilation management (ETT, BiPAP/CPAP), chest tube insertion, exchange transfusions, UAC/UVC placement, lumbar punctures, central and arterial line insertions, and diagnostic/therapeutic taps
- EMR System: EPIC
- Support Staff: A neonatologist is present during the day and available on call at night
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Neonatology – Required
- Active New York License – Required
- Must have experience managing patients independently
