Perm - Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology

Join an esteemed team of Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners at a state-of-the-art facility in Macon, Georgia. This facility features a Level-III NICU within the newly opened Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital, recognized as a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence. This pediatric hospital is the only dedicated children’s hospital in central and south Georgia, offering exceptional care and support.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced nursing care in a 66-bed Level-III NICU.
• Manage variable shifts, including 10-hour days M-TH and 8-hour weekend shifts.
• Deliver high-quality services such as high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and brain cooling.
• Collaborate with readily available subspecialty support.
• Work alongside experienced NNPs ensuring exceptional coverage.
• Engage in clinical appointments with Mercer Medical School.

Qualifications:

• NNP Board Certification (no acceptance of FNP or PNP certifications).
• Minimum 2 years of current employment experience as an NNP (not including RN experience).
• Passion for working in a dynamic neonatal care environment.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing [REQUIRED]
• APRN National Specialty Certification - Board Certified NNP [REQUIRED]
• Valid Georgia Nursing License (or willingness to obtain) [REQUIRED]
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) [REQUIRED]
• DEA [must be obtained prior to start] [REQUIRED]
