Join Our Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Team in Gastonia, NC!

We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established, 16-bed Level-III NICU practice located at a renowned regional medical center in the charming suburb of Gastonia, just a short drive from Charlotte, NC. This award-winning facility is known for its exceptional neonatal care and cutting-edge mother-baby design, making it an ideal workplace for dedicated professionals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide care in the 16-suite Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
  • Assist in covering the newborn nursery alongside the Neonatologists.
  • Deliver 20 hours per day of shift coverage, collaborating with Neonatologists who offer in-house daytime support and backup call from home at night.
  • Contribute to a team that has approximately 320 admissions and 1900 births annually, maintaining an average daily census of 10 patients.
  • Work in a facility recognized in the Wall Street Journal for its architectural excellence as a luxury birthplace.
  • Participate in the upcoming expansion with a second hospital in nearby Belmont, NC, which will feature labor and delivery services.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
  • Current APRN National Specialty Certification - Board Certified NNP (FNP, PNP, or any other NP certifications are not accepted).
  • 2+ years of employment experience as NNP (not including RN experience).
  • Strong collaborative skills and a commitment to high-quality neonatal care.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Active North Carolina (NC) license or willingness to obtain.
  • DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
