Job Opportunity: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Join a dedicated and caring team at a brand new, state-of-the-art 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery located at a prominent medical center in Belmont, North Carolina! This facility, CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont, is set to open in late 2024 and will be well-equipped to handle approximately 600 deliveries annually, providing an ideal setting for an experienced full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to step into a leadership role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily rounds on newborns in-house and manage call from home.
- Attend deliveries upon request and provide immediate care to newborns.
- Stabilize, manage, and facilitate the transport of newborns requiring higher-level care to NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia.
- Collaborate with a team of 4 Nurse Practitioners in a supportive environment, alongside a Level III NICU.
- Optional supplemental PRN shifts available at the Level III NICU, though not required.
Qualifications:
- Nurse Practitioner with 2+ years of employment experience specifically as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP).
- Must possess a Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Current National Specialty Certification as Board Certified NNP (no other NP certifications accepted).
- Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) is required.
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
- NC license or willingness to obtain one is essential.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing - [REQUIRED]
- Current APRN National Specialty Certification - Board Certified NNP - [REQUIRED]
- NC license (or willing to obtain) - [REQUIRED]
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (active within 30 days) - [REQUIRED]
- Current 2+ years employment experience as NNP (not including RN experience) - [REQUIRED]
- DEA (must be obtained prior to start) - [REQUIRED]
