Permanent Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology Opportunity in Belmont, NC
Join a dynamic team in a brand new, 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery at a state-of-the-art medical facility. The nursery is set to open in late 2024 and will serve an anticipated 600 deliveries annually. Job Responsibilities:
- Perform daily rounds on newborns in-house and take call from home.
- Attend deliveries when required and stabilize, manage, and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs for higher-level care.
- Collaborate with a team of 4 NNPs while having the option to supplement shifts at a nearby Level III NICU if desired.
- Ensuring high standards of care and maintaining the quality programs established by the facility.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Current NNP Board Certification (FNP, PNP, or other NP certifications not accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years employment experience as an NNP (not including RN experience).
- Experience in a Level-I nursery setting is preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Valid North Carolina nursing license or willingness to obtain.
- DEA certification must be obtained prior to start.
