Permanent Position: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Neonatology

Join our expanding team at a leading healthcare facility in Brooksville, Florida, a charming suburb located just north of bustling Tampa. Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or NICU-trained Physician Assistant.
  • Work in a 20-bed Level-III unit with an average daily census of 12-20 patients and approximately 1600 annual deliveries.
  • Collaborate with on-site Neonatologists and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, as well as other sub-specialists.
  • Embrace the flexibility of 16-hour shifts, with potential for 24-hour shifts as the unit grows.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical policies and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of care standards and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
  • Current national certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Board Certification through NCCPA for Physician Assistants.
  • At least 2 years of current work experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is required.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional care and support to patients and their families.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Active Florida state license, or willingness to obtain.
  • Board Certified APRN national specialty certification (NNP) for Nurse Practitioner candidates.
  • CLEAN malpractice and licensing history preferred.
  • DEA License to be obtained prior to start (required).
