Job Title: Permanent Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
Join a well-established Neonatology practice at a premier healthcare facility in Tallahassee, Florida, known for its commitment to family-centered healthcare. This facility's Level-III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is equipped to handle high-risk cases, including premature and critically ill infants. Working alongside an experienced team of neonatologists, NNPs, and pediatric specialists, you will be part of an integrated approach to provide top-tier medical care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Care for patients in a Level-III NICU with 34 beds and an average daily census of 25.
- Collaborate with a multi-specialty team to deliver comprehensive healthcare services.
- Oversee transports from regional hospitals with a neonatal nurse and respiratory therapist.
- Provide high-quality care for premature and critically ill infants.
- Participate in an 8-hour and 24-hour shift schedule.
- Engage with supportive specialists in pediatric cardiology, endocrinology, radiology, neurology, and orthopedics.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Current NNP Board Certification (FNP or PNP certifications are not accepted).
- At least 2 years of current employment experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
- Clean malpractice history (preferred).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Florida State License or willingness to obtain.
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report within the last 30 days (required at presentation).
