CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for an experienced, board-certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to assume a leadership role in our upcoming 10-bed Level I Neonatal Nursery, scheduled to open in late 2024. Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) – Belmont, NC
CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for an experienced, board-certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to assume a leadership role in our upcoming 10-bed Level I Neonatal Nursery, scheduled to open in late 2024. This is an ideal position for dedicated clinicians seeking to contribute to a pioneering neonatal care unit within a vibrant community just outside Charlotte.
Position Overview:
- Unit Details: Brand new Level I nursery with an anticipated volume of approximately 600 deliveries annually and a daily newborn census of about 5.
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily rounds on stabilized newborns in a 24-hour shift setting.
- Assist with deliveries as requested, providing immediate neonatal care.
- Respond to and coordinate neonatal stabilization, management, and transport to higher-level NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for infants requiring advanced care.
- Take call from home during off-shift hours, ensuring prompt response to neonatal emergencies.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of 4 NNPs, 2 Neonatologists, and additional staff at the Level III NICU in Gastonia (located 7 miles away).
- Optional supplemental PRN shifts at the Level III NICU in Gastonia may be available but are not mandatory.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Neonatal NNP (FNP, PNP, or other NP certifications are not accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience as an NNP (excluding RN experience).
- No current employment as a locum tenens.
- Proven ability to provide high-quality neonatal care in a fast-paced environment.
