Clinical Details

• 22 Beds
• Level 3 NICU
• NICU Patients (Level 2 and 3) 12-14 cases per day
• Well Newborns - 0-2 per day
• Care for all gestational ages, various ventilation methods, central line management, retinopathy of prematurity exams, and standard diagnostic services
• Procedures: intubation, surfactant administration, chest tube placement, IV access, arterial blood sampling, lumbar punctures, and resuscitation
• Pediatric surgical services, ECMO, inhaled nitric oxide therapy, and therapeutic hypothermia not available at Munson Medical Center, requiring transfer to level 4 NICU

Requirements

• Board Certified
• Active MI Specialty APRN License
• BLS, NRP
• Advanced Training Program and Certified by NCC as Neonatal NP
• 2 years level 3 RN/NNP experience - Preferred
• 500 Clinical Hours within the last 3 years

Support Staff

• 2 Clinical Neonatologists
• 4.5 Neonatology NPs
