Locum - Internal Medicine - NP

Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be part of a team providing essential Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans, ensuring they receive the care they deserve. Opportunities are available for both on-site and remote providers, with a commitment to quality healthcare.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete assessments and submit reports, including any addendums required.
• Work on a PRN basis with options for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts.
• Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure top-quality care for veterans.
• Engage in ongoing administrative work related to medical opinions and diagnostics as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
• AANP certification is required.
• Active and unrestricted full license is mandatory.
• Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
• Previous experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine is a plus.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Texas nursing license.
• AANP certification must be up-to-date.
