Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team providing vital healthcare services in Houston, Texas. This opportunity allows you to work as a General Medicine Provider, performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. We are looking for compassionate professionals to support our nation's Veterans in a flexible locum position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based exams with minimal physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete necessary documentation, including reports and addendums.
• Work on a PRN basis with options for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.
• Collaborate with Veterans in your local area to provide essential healthcare assessments.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing with experience in evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
• AANP certification required.
• Active and unrestricted full nurse practitioner license.
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Background in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid, active nurse practitioner license.
• Current AANP certification.
• DMA certification is required upon acceptance.
