Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join our dedicated team in Houston, Texas as a Locum Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine. Our practice focuses on providing high-quality care to America's Veterans through Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. We offer flexible working options, including per diem roles at our facility or opportunities in your own office, all designed to accommodate your needs while ensuring top-notch service to our nation’s heroes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based exams along with some physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete necessary documentation and reports, including addendums and medical opinions.
• Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
• Work on a PRN basis, with the option for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.
• Provide services from your own office or at a VES facility within a 50-mile radius of your listed address.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular diagnoses.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Must hold an active and unrestricted full license.
• AANP certification is required.
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
• AANP certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
• Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
• Complete a self-query NPDB within the month for verification.
