Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments on Veterans.
• Perform interview-based assessments with some physical examination techniques, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete necessary documentation and submit reports promptly.
• Work on a PRN basis, with flexible options for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts.
• No prescribing or treatment will be involved in this position.
• Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in METs testing, respiratory, and cardiovascular evaluation - REQUIRED
• Ownership of a laptop (Mac/Apple products not accepted) - REQUIRED
• Current certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) - REQUIRED
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license - REQUIRED
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification - REQUIRED
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
• Board Certification - REQUIRED
