Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

This innovative practice is focused on providing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, ensuring quality care in a supportive environment. The practice offers flexibility with per diem opportunities, allowing practitioners to leverage their expertise in General Medicine while fulfilling vital roles in Veteran care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Conduct primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete all required documentation and submit reports in a timely manner.
- Provide care on a PRN basis, with options for half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) shifts.
- Collaborate with local health professionals, if applicable, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate records and manage administrative tasks associated with patient evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in General Medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery.
- Strong abilities in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience with Compensation and Pension services is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in the capacity of your own office, if applicable.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted full license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Willingness to complete DMA training to obtain DMA certification.
- Must have own laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
