Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a dynamic practice in Houston, Texas, providing essential health assessments for our nation's veterans. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will engage in Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across various locations. This role emphasizes a commitment to veteran care in a supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments on a PRN basis.
• Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete required documentation, including reports and addendums, during scheduled shifts.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in patient care.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Available for both half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) shifts as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in METs testing, with experience in respiratory and cardiovascular evaluation.
• Possess a valid AANP certification.
• Active and unrestricted full license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine preferred.
• Willingness to complete required DMA training for certification.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Must hold an active nurse practitioner license in Texas.
• AANP certification is required.
