Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dynamic practice in Houston, Texas, providing essential health assessments for our nation's veterans. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will engage in Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across various locations. This role emphasizes a commitment to veteran care in a supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments on a PRN basis.
- Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete required documentation, including reports and addendums, during scheduled shifts.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in patient care.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Available for both half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) shifts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in METs testing, with experience in respiratory and cardiovascular evaluation.
- Possess a valid AANP certification.
- Active and unrestricted full license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine preferred.
- Willingness to complete required DMA training for certification.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Must hold an active nurse practitioner license in Texas.
- AANP certification is required.
