Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join our dedicated team in Houston, Texas, where we focus on providing exceptional care for our nation’s veterans. As a Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine, you will play a crucial role in conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This is a unique opportunity to work with Veterans Evaluation Services, a government contractor committed to supporting our nation's heroes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments.
- Conduct interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete reports and any required addendums efficiently.
- Work on a PRN basis with the flexibility to choose half-day or full-day shifts.
- Coordinate with fellow healthcare providers while maintaining accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- AANP certification is required.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery preferred.
- Must have a background in general medicine or experience with Compensation and Pension evaluations.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted full license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas.
- Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Must be willing to complete DMA training for certification.
- Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
