Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join our dedicated team in Houston, Texas, where we are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for our nation's Veterans. This locum position offers flexibility with options for per diem work or utilizing your own office to serve our Veterans in need.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
• Complete all required administrative duties, including submitting reports and addendums.
• Engage in quick credentialing and onboarding processes to begin work efficiently.
• Provide assessments on a PRN basis, with the option to work half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours).

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing and evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
• Current AANP certification and active unrestricted full license.
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
• AANP certification is required.
• Completion of DMA certification training is necessary.
