Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

This locum opportunity allows Nurse Practitioners to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, contributing to meaningful healthcare initiatives. VES, a prominent government contractor, offers flexible coverage options, including the potential to work from your own office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams.
• Perform separation health assessments for Veterans.
• Utilize interview-based methodologies coupled with some physical assessments like range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete necessary documentation and reports promptly.
• Work on a PRN basis, with options for half-day and full-day shifts.
• Maintain quick credentialing and onboarding processes.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular health.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery is preferred.
• Background in general medicine or compensation and pension examinations is a plus.

License and Certification Requirements:

• AANP certification required.
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license required.
• Must have a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification is mandatory.
