Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

We are looking for General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Our facilities are fully equipped to support your work in a collaborative environment focused on quality care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform interviews with Veterans, including physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete required documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
• Work on a PRN basis, with options for half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) shifts.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary.
• Maintain a respectful and compassionate approach to all patients.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Possess a current and unrestricted Texas nursing license.
• AANP certification required.
• Must have own office space to meet with Veterans if not working at a facility.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted nursing license in Texas.
• AANP certification is mandatory.
• Willingness to undergo DMA training to become DMA certified.
