Locum - Internal Medicine - NP

Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in Houston, Arkansas, providing essential support to our nation's Veterans. You'll have the opportunity to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in a flexible, engaging environment. This role allows you to work either from a VES facility or your own practice, tailored to fit the needs of the community.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based examinations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete necessary documentation and reports, including addendums as needed.
• Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
• Collaborate with a diverse range of specialists, including those in family medicine, internal medicine, and orthopedic surgery.
• Work on a PRN basis; options for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Possession of a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
• AANP certification is required.
• Active and unrestricted full licensure in Arkansas.
• Willingness to complete DMA training to achieve certification.
• Experience in general medicine or compensation and pension assessments is preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current active license in Arkansas.
• AANP certification.
• Willingness to undergo and complete DMA certification training.
