Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

This position entails conducting Compensation & Pension exams as well as Separation Health Assessments in various locations across the country, including the vibrant city of Houston, Texas. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct interview-based evaluations and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength tests.
• Perform one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of findings.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure the best care for Veterans.
• No prescribing or treatment involved; focus solely on assessments.
• Complete administrative work as required, including addendums and diagnostics reading.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in METs testing and assessing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Ownership of a laptop (non-Mac/Apple).
• Active AANP certification.
• Possession of an unrestricted full license.
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Prior experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine is preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Must hold a valid Nurse Practitioner license in Arizona.
• AANP Certification is required.
