Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team providing compassionate care to our nation's Veterans! This opportunity allows you to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across various locations, focusing on delivering essential services in a supportive environment.
The practice offers flexibility with options for per diem positions at various facilities or through your own office within designated areas. You will engage in meaningful assessments, contributing to the health and well-being of Veterans who have bravely served our country.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Provide thorough documentation and submit reports, including any necessary addendums.
- Engage in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
- Collaborate with Veterans and ensure adherence to all guidelines and requirements.
- Maintain an organized office environment if conducting assessments in your own practice.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted full Nurse Practitioner license in California.
- AANP certification.
- Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferred.
- Capability to complete DMA training for certification.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a focus on patient care.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current California Nurse Practitioner license.
- AANP certification.
- Completion of DMA training to become DMA certified.
- Must provide license number and certification number.
