Locum - Internal Medicine - NP

Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine in Houston, ID

Join a dedicated team of General Medicine Providers seeking to make a difference in the lives of Veterans through Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This opportunity allows flexibility with options for coverage either at a designated facility or from your own office. You will play a critical role in delivering essential care to our nation’s heroes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessment including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Ensure all examinations and documentation are completed accurately and submitted promptly.
• Participate in ongoing training and development related to compensation and pension assessments.
• Work flexible schedules, including both half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) shifts.
• Maintain a high standard of care while adhering to the regulations set forth by the overseeing agency.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must possess an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Idaho.
• Current AANP certification required.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferred.
• Must own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Idaho.
• AANP certification is mandatory.
• Completion of DMA training is required for certification.
