Locum - Internal Medicine - NP

Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a reputable practice in Houston, IN, focusing on delivering essential medical examinations for our nation's Veterans. As a General Medicine Provider, you will perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, contributing to the well-being of those who have served in the military.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete required administrative work, including addendums and medical opinions within the scheduled shift.
• Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
• Provide services from your own office or at a designated VES facility within a 50-mile radius.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferred.
• Ability to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted full license in Indiana.
• Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
• Own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
