Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine, where you will play a vital role in providing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for our nation's Veterans. This opportunity offers flexible work arrangements either at a local facility or your own office within a 50-mile radius of Houston, Indiana.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams.
• Perform separation health assessments primarily through interviews, with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Ensure timely submission of reports and any necessary addendums.
• Maintain high standards of practice while adhering to governmental regulations.
• Quickly navigate the credentialing and onboarding process.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted full nurse practitioner license in Indiana.
• Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must have a personal office or clinic to see patients if no local VES facility is available.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine is preferred.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

• Current Indiana Nurse Practitioner license.
• Relevant certifications as required (AANP).
• Willingness to complete DMA training to achieve DMA certification.
