Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team in Houston, Louisiana, providing essential healthcare services to our nation's Veterans. This practice focuses on performing Compensation & Pension exams, as well as Separation Health Assessments, ensuring veterans receive the support they deserve.
The practice offers two coverage options: either at a facility or in your own office with a preference for providers located within a 50-mile radius. Embrace a rewarding opportunity that offers flexibility and the chance to make a difference in the lives of Veterans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct PRN, non-treatment C&P exams and Separation Health Assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete necessary documentation and submit reports including any required addendums.
- Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals and maintain professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Ownership of a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
- Active AANP certification.
- Valid and unrestricted nursing license.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for DMA certification.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or compensation and pension is a plus.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current license to practice in Louisiana (LA).
- Must have an active AANP certification.
