Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a reputable practice in Houston, Maine that specializes in Veteran care. We are seeking skilled General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments on a locum basis, providing necessary evaluations for our nation's Veterans. Enjoy the flexibility of working from your own office or from a designated facility, both within reasonable commuting distance of Houston.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
- Complete administrative responsibilities such as addendums and medical opinions.
- Provide evaluations on a PRN basis with options for half or full working days.
- Coordinate with Veterans for timely assessments and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Experience in performing evaluations in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Ability to diagnose respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Proficient in METs testing.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Maine.
- Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple).
- Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
