Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine in Houston, MI

We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country. Here you will have the opportunity to engage directly with veterans, offering essential evaluations in a supportive environment. Providers can choose to work at a VES facility or their own office, ensuring flexibility and convenience for both you and the veterans you serve.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
• Complete necessary administrative work, including addendums and medical opinions, during allotted work hours.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with veterans throughout the assessment process.
• Complete required training and perform first exams to qualify for a one-time bonus.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing and evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Possess a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
• Hold a current AANP certification.
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Michigan.
• Willing to complete DMA training for certification.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Michigan Nurse Practitioner License (active and unrestricted).
• AANP Certification (American Association of Nurse Practitioners).
• Completion of DMA training to become DMA certified.
