Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner in General Medicine

Join a respected practice dedicated to providing essential care to our nation's veterans. This role involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans in beautiful Houston, Minnesota. This unique position offers flexibility with options to work from your own office or at a VES facility nearby.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation and Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete necessary documentation, reports, and addendums promptly.
• Work on a PRN basis with the flexibility to choose half-day or full-day shifts.
• Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
• Welcomed specialties include family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine experience.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing with a strong ability to evaluate and diagnose respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must have a laptop (Windows only, no Mac or Apple products).
• Active certification with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
• An active and unrestricted full license in Minnesota.
• Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
• Current home address must be listed on the CV for presentation.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Must hold an active Minnesota nursing license.
• AANP certification is required.
