Job Description: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join us in Houston, Texas, as we seek dedicated General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country. You will be part of a team committed to serving our nation's Veterans, where your expertise will make a vital impact. This opportunity allows for flexibility in your work location—either at a VES facility or in your own office within a 50-mile radius of designated areas in NC.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, such as range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
- Complete required documentation accurately following each exam.
- Maintain a professional environment whether working at a VES facility or your private office.
- Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina.
- Certification by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
- Own a laptop (Windows-based).
