Job Title: Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Facility and Practice Summary
We are seeking dedicated General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments nationwide. This is a great opportunity for Nurse Practitioners who wish to make a difference in the lives of our nation’s Veterans. The practice operates on a PRN basis and allows for flexibility with shifts, catering to either half-day or full-day work options. All work will be conducted from either a designated VES facility or the provider's own office, aiding veterans within the specified local areas.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform interviews with patients and some physical assessments (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing).
- No prescribing or treatment involved; focus solely on assessments.
- Complete administrative tasks related to candidate evaluations and maintain accurate reporting.
- Engage in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
Qualifications
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
- Current AANP certification.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
License and Certification Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina (NC).
- AANP certification required.
- Submission of license number, certification number, and other relevant documentation.
