Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team of General Medicine Providers in Houston, NC, where we offer crucial services to our nation's veterans. This role focuses on conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, ensuring that veterans receive the evaluations they deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete required documentation, including reports and any necessary addendums.
• Participate in ongoing training and credentialing processes to maintain compliance and quality standards.
• Providers can work flexible shifts, including half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) options.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing with experience in evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Possession of a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
• Current certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
• Active and unrestricted license in North Carolina.
• Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine is preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted full license in North Carolina.
• Current AANP certification.
• Completion of DMA training for certification is required.
