Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team in Houston, North Carolina, as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine. This role offers the opportunity to perform Compensation & Pension exams as well as Separation Health Assessments for our nation's veterans. Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based evaluations and some physical assessments, such as range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
- Ensure quick credentialing and onboarding for immediate coverage needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of examinations and submit reports as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to effectively assess patient needs.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Possess a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
- AANP certification is required.
- Active and unrestricted full license in North Carolina.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
- Must provide current home address for presentation purposes.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine is preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina.
- AANP certification.
