Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team providing vital care to our nation's Veterans in Houston, TX! As a Nurse Practitioner in General Medicine, you'll perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This opportunity allows you to work in a flexible environment, either from your own office or on a per diem basis at a nearby facility. Ideal candidates are those with a background in general medicine, ready to make a difference in the lives of Veterans.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based evaluations and some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Ensure timely completion of exams and submission of reports.
- Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate production and administrative documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Possess a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Holds an AANP certification.
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New Hampshire.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedics is a plus.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
- AANP certification is required.
- Must provide necessary certifications and complete required paperwork for presentation.
