Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Facility and Practice Overview
Join a dedicated team providing essential health assessments and compensation exams for our nation's Veterans. We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams alongside Separation Health Assessments. The practice offers the flexibility of per diem positions at designated facilities or from your own office within a 50-mile radius of Houston, New Hampshire. Every role contributes to the vital work of Veterans Evaluation Services, ensuring quality healthcare for those who have served our country.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete administrative work including reports and addendums.
- Work on a PRN basis, with the option to choose between half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) shifts.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluation, and diagnosis of respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Must be able to provide a current home address as needed for reporting.
- Own a compatible laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
License and Certification Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
- AANP certification required.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
