Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join us in making a difference as a Nurse Practitioner in Houston, NM, where you will have the opportunity to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments supporting our nation's Veterans. This role offers flexibility to either work at a Veterans Evaluation Services facility or your own office, provided it is within a 50-mile radius of the city. We are dedicated to honoring our Veterans through comprehensive evaluations and assessments in a supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based exams, including physical assessments like range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
- Complete required administrative follow-ups including addendums and medical opinions.
- Coordinate with Veterans and ensure compliance with evaluation standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Own a functioning laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Current AANP certification.
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
- Willing to complete DMA training for certification.
- Experience in general medicine or related specialties is preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Must possess an active license to practice in New Mexico.
- AANP Certification is required.
