Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine in Houston, NM

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete all necessary documentation and reports, including addendums as required.
• Work on a PRN basis, with options for half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) shifts.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support veteran care.

Qualifications:

• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with patients.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted full license in New Mexico.
• AANP certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
