Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner in General Medicine

Join a dedicated team that serves the nation's Veterans through comprehensive Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Our practice provides the flexibility of working in your own office or at a designated facility within a 50-mile radius of your location in Houston, NV.

As part of this government contract, you will play a crucial role in supporting the health needs of Veterans, ensuring they receive the care and assessments they deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform interviews and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Work on a PRN basis with options for half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) shifts.
• Respond to administrative tasks such as report submissions and addendums, all within the designated shift time.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation throughout the examination process.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular health.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Possess strong interview skills and a compassionate approach towards Veterans.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Nevada (NV).
• Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
