Job Title: Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team in Houston, NY that focuses on providing essential healthcare services to our nation's Veterans. This practice specializes in conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, aiding those who have served. We are seeking General Medicine Providers who are committed to delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform interviews and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Work on a PRN basis, with options for ½ day (4 hours) or full day (8 hours) shifts.
• Quick credentialing and onboarding for selected candidates.
• Collaborate with administrative staff to complete necessary reports and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Active AANP certification.
• Must own a laptop (Mac/Apple products not accepted).
• Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York.
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current New York Nurse Practitioner license.
• AANP certification is required.
• Additional certification(s) may be necessary based on specific skills or areas of focus.
