Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine in Houston, TX
Join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals as a General Medicine Provider, where your expertise will contribute to vital Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for our nation's Veterans. This position can be performed either from your own office or at a VES facility nearby, ensuring flexibility in your practice.
Our practice focuses on non-treatment, interview-based assessments, primarily involving physical evaluations such as range of motion and muscle strength testing. You will be collaborating with a team committed to supporting veterans in a thriving environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams plus separation health assessments.
- Perform interviews and necessary physical assessments.
- Complete and submit reports, including any required addendums.
- Engage in ongoing training and certification processes.
- Utilize your own office or a local VES facility, as applicable.
- Work on a per diem basis with options for half-day or full-day shifts.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted license to practice in New York.
- AANP certification is required.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine is preferred.
- Proficient in METs testing, respiratory and cardiovascular evaluations.
- Must own a laptop (Windows-based) for documentation and assessments.
License and Certification Requirements:
- New York State license (active and unrestricted).
- AANP certification.
- Completion of DMA training to achieve DMA certification.
