Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team helping our nation's Veterans! We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in Houston, Oregon. This opportunity is ideal for those interested in making a difference in the lives of Veterans while enjoying the flexibility of locum work.
Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, is a government contractor providing essential services to Veterans. We offer both per diem coverage at VES facilities and the option for providers to work from their own offices. Candidates must be located within a 50-mile radius of the designated area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based evaluations along with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Submit detailed reports, including any necessary addendums, after each exam.
- Maintain compliance with ongoing training and certification requirements.
- Work on a PRN basis, with options for ½ day (4 hours) or full day (8 hours) shifts.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- AANP certification is required.
- Active and unrestricted full license in Oregon.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine is preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Oregon state license.
- AANP certification.
- DMA certification (to be completed post-hire).
