Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine in Houston, TX

Join our dedicated team providing support for our nation's Veterans! This role involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Our practice operates with a focus on compassionate care for Veterans, ensuring they receive the thorough evaluations they deserve.

Our practice offers two options for coverage:

• Per diem at a VES facility - provider must be within a 50-mile radius of the home address unless noted otherwise.
• Provider's own office - must be within 50 miles of the listed city, with no VES location available in the area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based examinations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete required documentation and submit reports, including any necessary addendums.
• Work on a PRN basis, with options for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts.
• No prescribing or treatment required.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must own a compatible laptop (no Apple products).
• AANP certification required.
• Active and unrestricted full license.
• Willingness to complete DMA training to gain certification.
