Locum - Internal Medicine - NP

Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine in Houston, SD

Join a dedicated team working to serve our nation's Veterans! We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This position offers the flexibility of working either from our facilities or your own office if you're within a 50-mile radius. As a part of our mission, you will make a significant impact in the lives of Veterans utilizing your skills in a supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments
• Perform interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
• Complete required documentation and submit reports, including any necessary addendums
• Engage in quick credentialing and onboarding processes
• Work on a PRN basis, with options for ½ day or full day shifts

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
• Own a laptop (not compatible with Mac/Apple products)
• AANP certification
• Active and unrestricted full license in South Dakota
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification
• Current residence must be listed for presentation purposes

Licenses and Certification Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Nurse Practitioner license in South Dakota
• AANP certification required
