Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team focused on serving the nation's Veterans through essential General Medicine care in the vibrant city of Salt Lake City, Utah. This position allows you to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in a collaborative environment. Our practice is committed to providing high-quality services to our Veterans, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based examinations, including some physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Maintain meticulous records and complete reports, including any necessary addendums.
- Ensure thorough evaluations of respiratory and cardiovascular health.
- Adhere to all guidelines and protocols established by the practice.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must have an AANP certification.
- Active and unrestricted nursing license in Utah.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Valid AANP certification.
- Full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Utah.
- Electronic documentation capabilities - must own a compatible laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
