Job description The HIV Specialist/Adult Nurse Practitioner position is based at the Boriken Neighborhood Health Center, a state-of-the-art Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and NCQA-accredited Patient-Centered Medical Home in East Harlem offering comprehensive pediatric and adult primary care, specialty care, and the Boriken Pharmacy. Provides telephone coverage, based on the Health Center’s on-call schedule.

Salary: 135-145k per year dependent on experience. Consideration for negotiation of a sign on bonus. • Retirement (Retirement plan (403b, 2% of annual salary) • CME reimbursement ($1250 reimbursement per calendar after a year of employment) • Reimbursement for renewal of NYS Medical License and DEA •Available Loan Repayment Options (NHSC, Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program)

Job Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides comprehensive case managed primary care services in an ambulatory care setting. Contributes to quality assurance, staff development, and other programmatic and clinical functions.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Current New York State Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse License. NCAA Certified. DEA Certification. CPR Certification. Infection Control Certification. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Two to three year experience in medicine preferred. Knowledge of general nursing theory, practice, methods, and techniques involved in the performance of general nursing services. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Must have Active NYS Medicaid/Medicare Provider #.
COVID Vaccine Required.

We are willing to consider IM providers that are not HIV Certified but are willing to commit to seeing HIV patients and becoming certified over a designated period of time.

Working Hours

Schedule: Full time (35 hours per week, 7 hours per day with an unpaid lunch).
